Responsibilities
- Maintain commercial landscape beds on a scheduled maintenance route.
- Hand-pull weeds from landscape beds to maintain a clean, professional appearance.
- Apply herbicides safely and effectively to control weeds in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
- Identify weeds and determine the appropriate method of control.
- Remove volunteer trees, vines, and other unwanted vegetation from landscape beds.
- Monitor plant health and report signs of disease, insect damage, irrigation issues, or declining plants to management.
- Lightly groom landscape beds by removing small amounts of leaves, sticks, and debris that detract from the property's appearance.
- Perform light pruning or deadheading of shrubs, perennials, and ornamental grasses as directed.
- Clean overspray or debris from sidewalks, curbs, and other hard surfaces after completing work.
- Safely operate backpack sprayers, hand tools, blowers, and other equipment required for bed maintenance.
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily, reporting any repair needs.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Accurately document completed work and chemical applications.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding property conditions, customer concerns, or additional maintenance needs.
- Represent the company professionally while working on customer properties.
