- Oversee transportation planning and execution using transportation management systems (TMS) to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and inventory control within warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors through sourcing, procurement, and vendor management to optimize costs and service levels.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in logistics processes and implement continuous process improvements.
- Utilize data analysis skills and tools like Tableau and SQL for supply chain analytics, demand planning, and inventory management insights.
- Coordinate freight arrangements with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and other carriers to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with contracts, pricing agreements, and transportation regulations while maintaining safety standards such as forklift operation and mechanical knowledge.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations, or logistics roles with familiarity in warehouse experience and inventory management.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills; proficiency in SQL, ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), and transportation management systems.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, category management, demand planning, and freight forwarding.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis, process improvement initiatives, and supply chain analytics effectively.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation planning tools, and mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment like forklifts.
- Excellent negotiation skills for vendor management and sourcing activities; understanding of contracts is a plus.
