Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM


Role Overview

BEPC is seeking detail-oriented Structural Heart Assemblers to join our client's medical device manufacturing team in Plymouth, Minnesota.

This is a unique opportunity for candidates who are skilled with their hands and enjoy precise, detail-focused work. In this role, you will help assemble structural heart devices by performing delicate sewing and assembly activities using suture, needles, microscopes, and specialized small tools in a controlled cleanroom environment.


Candidates with backgrounds involving sewing, stitching, jewelry making, crafts, small-part assembly, microscope work, or other fine-motor tasks may find their skills highly transferable to this position.

If you have excellent hand-eye coordination, patience, and an eye for detail, this could be an excellent opportunity to build experience in the medical device industry while contributing to products designed for cardiovascular care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble structural heart devices according to approved manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform precision sewing using suture and needle under a microscope.
  • Handle extremely small components requiring excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Use microscopes for extended periods while completing detailed assembly activities.
  • Operate small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measuring equipment, and test fixtures.
  • Inspect materials and components to ensure they meet established design and quality specifications.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and standardized manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency while performing repetitive, precision-oriented tasks.
  • Support product testing, verification, and validation activities for new and existing products as assigned.
  • Follow applicable quality, regulatory, cleanroom, and contamination-control requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production and quality goals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities that enhance quality and manufacturing performance.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to perform extremely detailed and precision-oriented work.
  • Ability to work with very small components and materials.
  • Comfortable performing sewing or stitching activities using a needle and suture.
  • Comfortable using a microscope for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and manufacturing instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, patience, and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work the required 3:30 PM–2:00 AM shift.


Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous cleanroom experience.
  • Medical device manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Previous microscope assembly or inspection experience.
  • Sewing, stitching, or other precision hand-assembly experience.
  • Experience using small hand tools, calibrated instruments, or measurement equipment.
  • Experience performing repetitive fine-motor work in a production environment.


Work Environment

This position is performed in a controlled cleanroom manufacturing environment where strict contamination-control, quality, and regulatory procedures must be followed.

The work requires sustained concentration and repetitive fine-motor movements while assembling very small components. Candidates should be comfortable performing detailed work under magnification and using a microscope for extended periods.

This role offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills in structural heart medical device manufacturing and gain valuable experience within a highly regulated industry.
