Role Overview

BEPC is seeking Megasys Technicians (Chem Ops) to support EMD Electronics at the Samsung semiconductor manufacturing site in Austin, TX.

This is a hands-on, technical role supporting gas and chemical distribution systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Technicians maintain the safe operation of chemical and gas systems used to manufacture semiconductor chips for electronic devices.

This contract position includes on-the-job training and offers potential for conversion to permanent based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of chemical and gas distribution systems
• Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
• Equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
• Support quality systems and documentation
• Perform computer operations related to job functions
• Assist with chemical offloading and system monitoring

Physical Requirements

• Clean shaven (no facial hair) – respirator required
• Walk 5–6 miles per day
• Lift up to 40 lbs
• Frequent bending and overhead reaching
• May climb tanker trucks (18-wheeler) using fall protection
• May wear Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (10–15 minutes at a time)
• Fit for Duty Evaluation required prior to start and annually:
• Pulmonary Function Test
• Audiogram baseline
• Physical exam
• Safety boots required (voucher provided)
• PPE provided (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• Must read and speak English
• Ability to pass background screening through ISP Promesa
• Ability to meet respirator and physical requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance, mechanical, or equipment technician experience
• Experience in gas/chemical distribution systems
• Military background (highly encouraged)
• Manufacturing, oil & gas, refinery, wastewater, biotech, or industrial mechanic experience
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong technical aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
