BEPC has an open position for an Application Security Analyst

Location: Plano, TX (hybrid 3 days onsite mandatory)

Pay Rate: $77.88 - $80.88 Per hour based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Term: 12-month contract with possible extensions

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements: BA required in IT or similar / 6 years of overall IT experience / 3 years of DevOps / Security Engineering experience.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Application Security Analyst to integrate security practices into DevOps processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure secure software delivery pipelines, automate security controls, and promote a strong DevSecOps and shift-left security culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.

· Integrate security tools such as SAST, DAST, and SCA into development workflows.

· Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.

· Automate security testing and compliance checks across environments.

· Monitor and respond to security incidents in cloud and containerized environments.

· Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.

· Stay up to date with emerging security threats and DevSecOps best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• DevSecOps / Application Security
• CI/CD Security (Jenkins, Harness)
• Security tools (Veracode, GHAS, Orca)
• Cloud & Container Security
• Scripting (Python / Bash)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 6 years of overall IT experience.
• 3 years of DevOps / Security Engineering experience.
• 2–3 years of application security experience.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness).
• Development knowledge in Java, Python, .NET, or similar languages.
• Experience with security tools such as Veracode, GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), Orca.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).

Pay: $77.88 - $80.88 per hour
