About the Role
We are seeking a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support a short-term project estimated at 8–10 weeks. The specialist will lead sourcing initiatives across multiple categories, develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery outcomes. This role requires strong analytical capability, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage end-to-end procurement processes with increasing autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing initiatives and manage full lifecycle procurement for assigned categories.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Evaluate vendor quotes, capabilities, and service offerings to select and onboard appropriate suppliers.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements.
- Monitor supplier compliance, contractual obligations, and performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvements within sourcing processes and contribute to long-term procurement strategy planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Demonstrated success managing complex negotiations and supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Knowledge of sourcing best practices, cost analysis, and procurement methodologies.
Work Environment
- Operates with moderate supervision and increasing autonomy.
- Expected to use sound judgment and take initiative in decision-making.
- Reports to a Procurement Manager or Sourcing Lead.
Pay Rate: $45–$55/hr (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Day Shift | Hybrid (At least 3 days onsite per week, based on business needs)
