Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to join our client’s site in Tucson, AZ. This role will support project objectives by designing experimental plans, conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and preparing technical reports.

Personalized Healthcare Solutions (PHCS) focuses on advancing science and access to healthcare. Its work includes bringing diagnostic testing, laboratory efficiency tools, healthcare digitalization, and decision support software to market; providing precise information to support treatment decisions; and partnering with pharmaceutical companies on assays that identify patients likely to respond to a particular drug.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design experimental plans to support project objectives.
• Execute bench experiments, make detailed and general observations, and analyze data.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses.
• Maintain complete and accurate records.
• Independently develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Identify and implement improvements to work processes and the laboratory environment.
• Apply expertise across a wide range of techniques.
• Recognize and document activities with publication or patent potential.
• Participate in scientific conferences and contribute to scientific journals, as applicable.
• Work on extremely complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables.
• Participate in or lead cross-functional technical teams, such as failure investigations or core teams.
• Contribute to project teams by suggesting creative solutions and providing input to project planning.
• Establish interfaces with other organizational groups.
• Train others in areas of expertise.
• Supervise lower-level personnel and laboratory operations, as applicable.
• Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective action.
• Prepare and present experimental procedures and results to group and project teams.
• Monitor work to ensure quality and continuously promote Quality First Time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6–8 years of relevant post-college experience.
• A master’s degree is acceptable with 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences.
