W2 Contract – 6 months with possible extensions!

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer (or appropriate job title) to join our client’s site in Minneapolis, MN. This role will support process improvement, process development, and prototype/product builds. Consultations and interactions with subject matter experts, project coordination with support functions, tracking key actions and milestones, and communication of project status to stakeholders will also be key factors to success in this role.

- Give us an overview of your background, focusing on past process development activities
- Please provide an example of a proposal or report that you have provided to senior leadership. What factors did you consider then compiling this document?
- Tell me about a yield issue that you have solved. What steps did you take to resolve the issue? What methods did you use to analyze the data?
- Have you used Six Sigma tools such as FMEA, DOE, Gauge R&R? Give an example of how/when you applied these tools.
- Tell me about your experience with the following types of etchants/chemicals: HF, metal etchants, solvents, acidic/basic chemical cleans, epoxies
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability improvements and implement
- Develop robust processes that drive product and business goals
- Test products
- Pull data, analyze, and publish results
- Perform failure analysis using formal processes and communicate results
- Create documentation
- Communicate status to leadership
- Train factory personnel as part of transition activities
- Travel within US and/or internationally may be required – 10%.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering)
- Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
- ≥1.5 years professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inertial instruments
- Self-motivated individuals able to work with little supervision and take initiative proactively
- Demonstrated mastery of design tools appropriate for the field (MiniTab, Access, MS Office Suite, etc.)
- Six Sigma certification and demonstrated use of tools
- Demonstrated previous program experience and success
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, appropriate to the topic and audience.
