BEPC is actively looking for Plant Facility Engineer in Pleasanton, CA area!
W2 Contract – 2 months with possible extensions!

Pay Rate: $73.40 - $83.40 /hour - Determined based on experience
Schedule: Fully onsite, must travel frequently to Pleasanton and Santa Clara

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Plant Engineer / Facility Engineer to join our client’s site in Pleasanton, CA. This role will support facility infrastructure, engineering projects, and capital initiatives within a regulated cGxP environment. The engineer will identify site engineering needs, develop and implement innovative solutions, prepare project documentation, secure and manage resources, evaluate bids, and implement engineering changes. The role also includes developing FDA validation protocols and data, while serving as the Facilities SME on capital projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing and maintaining facility equipment, particularly HVAC systems, Electrical Infrastructure, and Building Management Systems (BMS). They will lead project upgrades in these areas, drive improvements, oversee implementation, and ensure optimal system performance throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Facility Infrastructure Management
- Support efficient operation of site facility infrastructure systems (utility systems, HVAC, etc).
- Monitor system status, analyze trends.
- Develop maintenance strategies (preventative, corrective, predictive) to ensure reliable and cost-effective operation.
- Facilitate business units’ capability to perform their functions.
Administrative
- Develop and manage capital and expense budgets.
- Research and present data on facility topics (planning needs, master maintenance plan, disaster recovery plan).
- Perform management functions: manage performance, provide training and development.
- Act as qualified trainer for Facilities SOPs and training programs.
Energy Conservation
- Analyze energy consumption.
- Identify and implement energy savings opportunities.
- Develop projects to improve energy conservation and meet site/corporate reduction goals.
- Develop cost and energy savings metrics and reports.
Sustainable Operations
- Analyze facilities processes and equipment for sustainability improvements.
- Develop procedures, processes, or projects to achieve Eco Team and Group Sustainability goals.
- Enhance sustainable operations at Bay Area sites.
Asset Management
- Manage and maintain site asset listings (buildings, grounds, utility infrastructure, equipment).
- Develop and manage Life Cycle Asset Management process.
- Conduct Facility Condition Assessments.
- Proactively identify potential projects.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assigned as needed to support facilities, project upgrades, and system optimization.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical)
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong background in: HVAC systems, Electrical Infrastructure, Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Knowledge of FDA GMP
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written procedures and document work accurately
- Ability to be flexible, responsive to change, and multitask
- Detail oriented
