Job Title: Laboratory Designer
Location: Remote, U.S.
Employment Type: Contract | 1st Shift | 40 hours/week
Role Overview:
BEPC is seeking a skilled Laboratory Designer to support complex laboratory design projects for a client. This remote role focuses on preparing 2D/3D designs, construction plans, renderings, and technical visualizations for automated and standalone laboratory solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert Matterport digital twins, BIM files, and point clouds into usable design formats.
- Create concept designs, phasing plans, and construction drawings using 2D/3D CAD tools.
- Develop 3D models, renderings, and advanced visualizations for laboratory designs.
- Provide technical specifications and installation dimensions to engineers, architects, and facilities teams.
- Maintain knowledge of building codes, regulations, and design standards.
- Manage multiple complex projects while meeting assignment turnaround times.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of recent experience with Revit, BIM, and/or CAD-related software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a comparable field.
- Experience with laboratory design, technical layouts, and visualization preferred.
- Proficiency with tools such as Visio, SketchUp, SimLab, AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or Unreal Engine.
- Ability to read mechanical and complex architectural drawings.
- Understanding of CAD file management, drafting conventions, BIM, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Knowledge of Extended Reality solutions and applications is a plus.
Contract Details:
- Remote-based role.
- 1st shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
- Must reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport in the U.S.
- Up to 10% overnight travel may be required.
