Job Title: Construction Quality Engineer
Location: St. Louis, MO 63103 (Onsite)
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 12 Months with possible extension
Pay Rate: $55.00 – $60.00/hour (determined by experience, paid weekly)

Role Overview:
BEPC is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Engineer to support large-scale construction and facility projects in St. Louis, MO. This role is responsible for overseeing construction quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure all work performed by contractors and subcontractors complies with approved project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable code requirements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction QA/QC, strong technical knowledge of construction methods and quality systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plans for assigned construction projects
Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to verify compliance with:
- Approved designs
- Project specifications
- Quality standards
- Safety requirements
Review and approve quality control documentation including:
- Inspection reports
- Test plans
- Material submittals
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain quality records, reports, and project documentation for stakeholders
- Conduct root cause investigations for quality failures and recommend preventive measures
- Provide guidance and training to project personnel on QA/QC procedures and best practices
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to construction quality and compliance
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction models
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)
- Construction Management
- Related technical field & minimum 10 years of experience in construction QA/QC or quality engineering
Strong knowledge of:
- Construction methods
- Building materials
- Industry quality standards
Construction quality management practices & familiarity with:
- ISO 9001
- Quality management systems
- Construction regulations and code requirements
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction documentation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Quality management software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as:
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Quality Management Professional (QMP)
- Experience supporting:
- Life Sciences projects
- GMP facilities
- Clean room construction projects
Work Environment:
This is a fully onsite role located in St. Louis, MO. The position requires regular presence at active construction sites and collaboration with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders. Candidates must be comfortable working in dynamic construction environments while maintaining strong attention to quality and safety standards.
