What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Adjustment Counselor (extended school year) position at Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School?
**This position is being hired for our extended school year summer program which runs from July 6th through August 6th, Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–12:00 PM**
The role of the School Adjustment Counselor is to assist with the social and emotional needs of students. This is a comprehensive counseling position, encompassing duties similar to both a traditional guidance counselor as well as those of a traditional adjustment counselor. The School Adjustment Counselor supports the academic and behavioral success of BFCCPS students. The School Adjustment Counselor provides critical, differentiated services for those students identified as needing social and emotional support.
BFCCPS opened in 1995 as one of the first Charter Schools in Massachusetts.
