Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance and longevity.
- Conduct plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed to support HVAC system functionality.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for mechanical repairs.
- Diagnose complex mechanical problems using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques; recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong background in construction or property maintenance.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in appliance repair, equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and general maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems and components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and ductwork.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately; experience with electrical testing using tools like ohmmeters is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with
driver requirements is advantageous. - Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience in field service environments involving equipment repair and property upkeep.
