Job Summary:
- Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of the physical therapist and according to the physician's plan of care.
- Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
- Direct and aid patients in therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
- Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
- Observe and report patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in their condition.
Job Requirements:
- Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the location where the HHA is located (if licensure is required).
- Graduated from a PT assistant program approved by CAPTE and passed a national examination for PT assistants.
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
- Must have the ability to drive and/or have access to transportation for agency-related travel.
