AI & Data Strategist (Investments)

Our direct client, a growing, successful real estate investment firm is seeking a highly strategic and hands-on professional to build and integrate a modern AI-driven data framework across its investment and asset management platform. This is a newly created, high-impact role focused on leveraging data and AI to generate investment insights, improve decision-making speed, and expand opportunity sourcing.

This individual will operate at the intersection of investments, data science, and AI, partnering closely with senior leadership and investment teams to embed scalable, practical solutions into day-to-day workflows. The goal is not just building tools—but driving real adoption and unlocking measurable alpha.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Data Strategy

• Design and implement a scalable data and AI framework to support investment and asset management decisions
• Identify high-impact use cases where AI can accelerate insights, improve efficiency, and enhance returns
• Partner with investment leadership to align data initiatives with business strategy

Investment Insights & Deal Enablement

• Leverage AI and data analytics to enhance deal sourcing, screening, and underwriting processes
• Generate actionable insights from portfolio and market data to support investment decisions
• Expand the firm’s funnel of opportunities through smarter data aggregation and analysis

Data Infrastructure & Integration

• Work with large, unstructured datasets (e.g., deal files, SharePoint data) to structure, clean, and operationalize information
• Build or implement tools that make data more accessible, reliable, and usable across teams
• Enable faster and more cost-effective data processing using modern AI approaches

Adoption & Change Management

• Drive adoption of new tools and workflows across investment and operational teams
• Design solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing processes with minimal disruption
• Influence stakeholders and build consensus among senior partners and cross-functional teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with investments, asset management, compliance, and finance teams to identify opportunities and align priorities
• Serve as a bridge between technical capabilities and business needs

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience across data science, analytics, or AI, with meaningful exposure to business or investment environments
• Strong understanding of how to apply AI and data tools to drive revenue, insights, or investment outcomes
• Experience working with large, unstructured datasets and building practical data solutions
• Demonstrated ability to build or deploy AI-driven tools or workflows (not just theoretical knowledge)
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of investment processes (real estate, private equity, or credit strongly preferred)
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption across senior teams
• Combination of technical depth and front-office mindset
