The Fire Alarm Designer will utilize design concepts to produce full sets of construction documents for commercial building projects. The Fire Alarm Designer will train and work with licensed professionals in a collaborative team to perform a variety of design tasks. An understanding of AutoCAD and/or Revit to design and develop construction documents for our multiple types of projects is desired. This position may require minimal travel.

Requirements
Minimum
- 1 year applicable work experience and demonstrated skill with AutoCAD.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university and 1 year work experience in the Fire Alarm field and/or Fire Alarm design industry.
- 5 years of work experience in the Fire Alarm field or Fire Alarm design industry.
- 2 years of education from a college or technical school in the Fire Protection field, Electrical field or related and 3 years' work experience in the Fire Alarm field and/or Fire Alarm design industry.
- Combination of education and experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- 1 year experience creating design documents, working in prototypical design, using families, detailing engineering elements, and using physical drafting tools.
