We are seeking a result-driven Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering & Maintenance team to lead our efforts in maximizing equipment uptime, reliability, and overall performance.
Job Summary
The Reliability Engineer will lead and support initiatives that maximize equipment uptime, reliability, and overall plant performance. In addition to responsibilities at our primary facility in the St. Louis area, this individual will also support other Beltservice sites that have limited maintenance resources.
Periodic travel will be required to support these efforts and ensure consistent implementation of reliability and asset care standards.

Essential Job Duties:
- Reliability Improvement:
- Ownership, execution & training of TPM Program, leveraging OEE.
- Contribute to PM programs to strengthen equipment performance.
- Assist facilities in managing critical spare parts programs.
- Discover and Deploy predictive maintenance technologies.
- Support maintenance team when needed, complex troubleshooting & repairs.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, including planned vs. unplanned work, MTBF, MTTR, and trends.
- Use structured problem-solving (5-Why, A3, Fishbone) to eliminate recurring issues.
- Collect and analyze equipment and maintenance data to drive decision-making and track asset health.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and reliability tools.
- Contribute to identifying metrics we can use to track the progress and success of the maintenance initiatives.
- Project Leadership:
- Lead reliability projects such as equipment upgrades, replacements, or process optimizations.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams across multiple plant sites to align best practices and standardization.
- Asset Management:
- Support capital asset lifecycle management including machine criticality assessment and rebuild and overhaul priorities.
- Review and refine equipment specifications, PM routines, and critical spare part strategies.
- Assist in asset disposition decisions related to effective useful life.
- Training & Culture:
- TPM Professor: Develop and Execute our TPM program which emphasizes operator-led basic machine care and accountability.
- Foster a reliability-focused culture by promoting awareness and accountability at all organizational levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- 7 years of related experience in manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Advanced knowledge of TPM, reliability principles, and Lean problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Software Fluency: Microsoft Suite (*Excel, Outlook, Teams), CAD, CMMS.
- Familiarity with predictive technologies such as: Vibration analysis, Thermography, Lubrication Analysis, Ultrasonic and Electrical Signature Analysis.
- Able to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
