We are seeking a passionate, goal-oriented, and deeply self-motivated Field Sales Representative with a growth-forward mindset to join our Enterprise Sales team and play a vital role in expanding our Heavy-Duty (Core) and Lightweight conveyor belting business in the Northern Illinois, Indiana, and Western Michigan territory.
Job Summary
The Field Sales Representative will develop and retain strong product knowledge and build relationships within their territory to expand an established customer base of industrial distributors and OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and gain new business. This individual must be comfortable with overnight travel and possess strong time management skills. Please note that we are currently only considering candidates who live in the assigned territory.

What You’ll Do:
- Select the appropriate target customer base to make cold calls and build relationships with.
- Presenting company products and services to new customers, closing sales to gain new accounts.
- Maintain relationships with current customers to expand accounts.
- Educate and train members in the distribution network, including OEM’s, to assist in the sale of products and services.
- Meet or exceed sales forecasted sales and profit goals each year, per entity, working as a team of inside and outside sales. Other measurable factors include new customer list, sales presentations, top 50 accounts, and overall expenses.
- Follow up on sales inquiries and provide quotes.
- Work to resolve customer problems and initiate solutions.
- Maintain customer files and accounts with accurate information.
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required; Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- 1-3 years of inside sales training, preferred.
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the industrial/belting industry, preferred.
- Demonstrated history of success in innovative solutions and a passion for building customer relationships.
- Excellent application and product knowledge including assembly/fabrication of products.
- Knowledge of market, customer base, competition, and products sold in assigned territory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to present yourself and the company in a positive light, creating a desire for them to conduct business with Beltservice.
