Job Summary:
Belove It Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team! As a DSP in Ashtabula OH , you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our part-time DSPs work closely with our clients and team members to promote independence, inclusion, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care assistance, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed
Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, household chores, and medication management
Support individuals with daily routines, including scheduling appointments, using public transportation, and participating in community activities
Encourage socialization and engagement with others, promoting a sense of belonging and community
Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized care plans
Maintain accurate records and reports of client activities and progress
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 year minimum years of experience in a similar role, preferably working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
