Duties

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to established menus, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Assist with menu planning, incorporating dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining variety and appeal
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
• Support food preparation activities, including chopping, cooking, plating, and portioning meals with precision and care
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a hygienic environment at all times
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal service times and ensure timely delivery of meals
• Assist in catering events or special meal occasions as needed, providing excellent service in a fast-paced setting

Experience

• Previous experience working in a dietary department or food service setting is highly preferred
• Experience as a dietary aide or in a similar role within healthcare, senior living, or hospitality environments is advantageous
• Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation techniques in fine dining or restaurant settings is beneficial
• Hands-on experience with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential
• Culinary experience including knife skills, cooking techniques, and food presentation will support success in this role
• Background in the food industry or kitchen environments demonstrates adaptability to fast-paced workflows
• Knowledge of catering services and serving practices enhances the ability to meet diverse client needs
