TITLE: Housing Construction Specialist
REPORTS TO: Senior/Housing Rehab Programs Manager
GRADE: 4 ($46 -$56K Annually) Full Time 35 Hours per week
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The primary objectives of the position of Housing Construction Specialist are to administer the rehabilitation component of the organization’s housing rehabilitation programs in matters relating to construction, rehabilitation, and interaction with third-party inspectors (e.g., DHCR, HUD).
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years’ experience, or an associate’s degree plus 4 yrs experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in housing construction, rehabilitation, or related fields. Basic knowledge of all phases of residential housing building systems (structural, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and the ability to supervise contractors.

Valid New York State Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and adequate insurance coverage
