Position Overview

Prepare and decontaminate hazardous and non-hazardous equipment and glassware for non-sterile and sterile operations according to USP 795/797/800 guidelines. Keep work areas organized. Perform weekly and monthly cleaning of the corridors.
Responsibilities
- Distributes compounding supplies to departments.
- Processes supply requests in a prompt, cooperative, and efficient manner
- Assists with maintaining daily, monthly, and yearly inventory control for supplies and instruments.
- Transports finished compounds to the fulfilment area or quality department as required
- Washes and decontaminates hazardous and non-hazardous laboratory equipment and glassware and maintains a clean work area according to cleaning SOP guidelines. Restocks equipment and glassware in appropriate rooms.
- Maintains equipment: Operating, calibrating and sterilizing lab equipment.
- Follow safety procedures: Ensures a safe work environment by following hazardous drug safety, exposure and disposal guidelines and sharps safety procedures.
- Cleans Non-Classified (CNC) areas and aids in cleaning select iso-classified areas
- Cleans and transfers materials into CNC areas.
- Mops non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous corridor floors daily
- Runs autoclave cycles, performs dehydrogenation of glassware, and vial washing procedures. (Applies to sterile facilities only)
- Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures that apply to pharmacy services
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, etc.) for long periods of time when required
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift (up to 25 pounds) and repetitious physical activity.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Full range of body motion and flexibility.
- Ability to climb, reach, kneel, stoop, and bend.
- Requires vision and hearing.
- Full range manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals including cleaning agents and disinfectants
TRAINING

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training as lab assistant, or similar field a plus.
- Experience in a maintenance/support role preferably
- Ability to successfully prioritize and complete time-sensitive duties.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
