Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Front of House Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the restaurant’s front of house, ensuring exceptional service, team coordination, and a welcoming environment for guests. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of hospitality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing all front of house operations, including floor supervision, reservations, seating, and customer interactions.
- Lead and motivate the front of house team, including hosts, servers, and bartenders, to deliver outstanding service.
- Ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience by addressing issues quickly and professionally.
- Train new front of house staff and support ongoing development and performance feedback.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards in the dining and reception areas.
- Assist with scheduling and shift management to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth service flow.
- Help manage stock of front of house supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Support financial and performance goals by minimizing waste, optimizing staffing, and promoting upselling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of POS systems and reservation software is a plus.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
