Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared food and beverages from the kitchen to tables efficiently, maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating and garnishing when needed, supporting kitchen staff in maintaining smooth operations
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, resetting them for new diners to ensure a seamless dining flow
- Support servers by bussing tables, refilling water glasses, and attending to guest needs with friendly in-person customer service
- Handle food handling responsibilities safely and hygienically, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including dishwashing and sanitation of utensils and equipment
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team using clear language and phone etiquette to coordinate orders and service flow
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are most important
- Host/hostess experience or guest services background is a plus, demonstrating strong customer relations skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order handling and cash handling tasks
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking, billing, and cash handling are essential
- Experience with beverage preparation, catering, or banquet service can be advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures ensures compliance with health regulations
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining excellent communication skills and teamwork spirit
