Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our firm as Senior Counsel in our Transactional Law, Real Estate, and Banking practice. This leadership role is designed for a seasoned professional to act as a management and relationship partner while contributing to the firm's growth, client relationships, and mentoring of junior attorneys.

Key Responsibilities
Case Management
- Manage a sophisticated caseload of professional transactional law matters from inception through resolution.
- Occasionally develop litigation strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and provide practical business law advice to clients.
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions, conduct mediations, and serve as first chair at trial when necessary.
- Prepare and review pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, expert reports, and appellate filings.
Client Service
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients.
- Provide timely reporting, litigation analysis, and budget management.
- Deliver responsive, practical, and cost-effective legal counsel aligned with client objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while enhancing the firm's reputation for excellence.
Leadership
- Mentor and supervise associates, law clerks, and paralegals.
- Review work product and provide constructive feedback to support attorney development.
- Promote collaboration across practice groups and offices.
- Contribute to recruiting, retention, and professional development initiatives.
Business Development
- Maintain and expand a portable book of business or demonstrate a consistent ability to generate new client relationships.
- Participate in networking, industry associations, speaking engagements, and client presentations.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities within the firm.
- Support strategic growth initiatives for the Transactional Law practice.
Firm Contributions
- Meet or exceed annual billable hour expectations.
- Participate in firm committees, strategic planning, and operational initiatives.
- Uphold the firm's standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
- 8–15 years of experience, with substantial experience in Transactional law.
- Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following:
- Business Law
- Intellectual Property & Information Technology
- Commercial Real Estate
- Entrepreneurial and Startup Law
- Estate Planning
- Tax Law
- Banking & Financial Services
- Business development experience and an established professional network preferred.
- Portable book of business preferred, depending on experience and strategic fit.
Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
