This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the CFO with responsibility for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while partnering with operations to drive financial performance. Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership to provide financial analysis and decision support.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and KPI reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting, and overall financial efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA preferred.
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Manufacturing industry experience required. Strong understanding of inventory accounting, BOMs, standard costing, and cost accounting.
- Experience leading month-end close and preparing financial statements.
- ERP system experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across multiple departments.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
