We are partnering with a rapidly growing, PE-backed organization seeking an Accounting Manager to join its leadership team in the Portsmouth, NH area.
This is a high-impact opportunity within a company that has been established for 30 years and is now entering an exciting growth and modernization phase following a recent acquisition.
The role offers strong visibility, mentorship from leadership with Big 4 foundation, and the opportunity to gain exposure across virtually all areas of accounting and finance while helping build scalable processes for a growing organization.
Schedule:
- Hybrid — 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Oversee general ledger and accounting operations
- Manage financial reporting and reconciliations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements
- Partner cross-functionally with operations leadership
- Assist with implementation and enhancement of scalable accounting processes
- Mentor and help lead a small accounting team
Preferred Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 5-10 years of accounting experience
- Public/private accounting mix preferred
- CPA preferred
- Experience in growth-oriented and/or PE-backed environments a plus
- WIP/POC experience helpful but not required
- Strong systems/process improvement mindset
