$120-150k plus bonus

Bell & Associates is partnering with a manufacturing company based in Manchester, NH is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a hands-on role with ownership of the month-end close process and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Long-term growth path to Controller role.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full month-end close process including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL accounting, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and cost accounting
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the accounting function
• Partner with operations and plant leadership on cost analysis, variance reporting, and financial performance
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
• Support external audit and tax preparation processes
• Collaborate with senior leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives as the business grows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5–10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Strong technical foundation in month-end close, cost accounting, and inventory accounting
• Proven track record of driving process improvements within an accounting function
• Private equity-backed company experience a plus
• Government contracting experience a plus
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and cross-functional partnering skills
