About the Role:
As a Landscape Crew Leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing a crew while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You'll lead by example, mentor team members, and bring expert knowledge of fine gardening and plant care to every job.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a landscape maintenance crew on a daily basis.
- Plan and prioritize daily tasks to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Perform and oversee fine gardening, including detailed garden maintenance.
- Identify trees, shrubs, perennials, and other landscape plants, and provide appropriate care.
- Prune trees, shrubs, hedges, and perennials using proper horticultural techniques.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
- Train and mentor crew members in safe work practices and horticultural skills.
- Operate landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Communicate professionally with clients and management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping with demonstrated crew leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of plant identification, plant health, and seasonal care.
- Experience with fine gardening and detailed landscape maintenance.
- Skilled in proper pruning techniques for plants, shrubs and small trees.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license
