Help Believe in Me coordinate accurate, compliant grant administration for programs serving underserved youth and young people.
The volunteer Grants Administrator will maintain approved grant calendars, records, requirements, reporting workflows, and handoffs after a funding opportunity has been selected or awarded.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a source-verified calendar of applications, awards, deliverables, reports, renewals, and closeout dates
- Organize approved funder guidance, proposals, budgets, agreements, correspondence, and supporting documents
- Coordinate task assignments and collect authorized program, finance, outcome, and compliance information
- Track restrictions, match requirements, acknowledgment, reporting, and document-retention obligations
- Review submissions for completeness, consistency, approved language, and required attachments
- Maintain version control, approval evidence, and final submitted copies
- Protect participant, donor, financial, personnel, and funder information
- Avoid inventing outcomes, altering budgets, accepting terms, signing documents, or submitting without authorization
- Escalate missed deadlines, reporting discrepancies, restricted-fund concerns, or unfavorable terms
- Experience in grants administration, nonprofit operations, project coordination, compliance, finance, research, or reporting
- Strong organization, calendars, document control, spreadsheets, writing, and follow-through
- Familiarity with grant agreements, restricted funds, reporting, and audit readiness
- At least 21 years old and willing to complete screening and confidentiality requirements
- Ability to work accurately across multiple deadlines
