Help Believe in Me coordinate community outreach, listening, events, volunteers, and partnership follow-up that expand opportunities for underserved youth and young people.
We are seeking a volunteer Community Engagement Coordinator to turn engagement priorities into organized, welcoming activities across the Community Partnership Program and related initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain engagement calendars, contact lists, event plans, outreach tasks, and follow-up
- Coordinate virtual listening sessions, information sessions, partner meetings, and volunteer activities
- Prepare approved messages, presentations, agendas, materials, surveys, and accessibility supports
- Track attendance, questions, commitments, feedback, and next steps
- Support community volunteers and partner representatives before and after activities
- Maintain accurate CRM records and respect privacy, consent, and opt-outs
- Escalate eligibility, funding, referral, safety, complaint, or sensitive issues
- Identify recurring community needs and recommend improvements
- Experience in community engagement, nonprofit programs, events, outreach, volunteer coordination, education, or public service
- Strong organization, communication, hospitality, and follow-through
- Culturally responsive listening and respectful interaction across diverse communities
- Comfort with virtual meetings, CRM, spreadsheets, and event tools
- Multilingual or accessibility experience is helpful
