Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various machinery and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. This role requires mechanical knowledge, precision, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery including Conomatic 8 spindles, and 6 spindle Acme screw machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to set up machines accurately.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify product specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Fanuc systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and CAM programming is a plus.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is beneficial.
- Experience with fabrication, tooling, welding, and assembly processes is desirable.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks is an advantage.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate hand tools effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
