Putnam Machine Products in Coldwater, Michigan is seeking quality driven individuals to join our team. Putnam Machine Products has a 50 year reputation for producing high quality, precision machined components and assemblies for the automotive, industrial equipment, truck & off-highway, and recreational vehicle industries. Openings are available for the following positions:
CNC Machinist - Second Shift:
Prerequisites: Experience running CNC lathes and/or machining centers to produce precision metal components. Ability to work as part of a quality-oriented team, to maintain good attendance, to interpret dimensions and tolerances available on mechanical drawings, to use precision measuring tools to verify product, to stand for 3 hours at a time, and lift up to 30 pound parts or containers on occasion. Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma control experience is a plus. Putnam Machinists are trained and expected to perform their own changeover/set-up in order to reduce lead times and improve customer service.
Second Shift works Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM (4 days, 10 hours per day). Initial training is conducted on first shift for a duration of 30 to 90 days prior to moving to second shift. First shift runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
