The Sr. Director, IT Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, management, and continuous improvement of Bel Fuse’s global IT infrastructure, network operations, security perimeter, and service delivery functions. Reporting directly to the Global Head of IT and Cybersecurity, this position owns the full technology operations stack across all worldwide sites including North America, Mexico, United Kingdom, and Israel. The IT Operations Director will evaluate, recommend, budget, and implement enterprise-grade solutions including SASE/VPN architecture, cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, and ITSM platforms. This role is critical to M&A integration success, leading full lifecycle IT due diligence, planning, cutover, and ongoing optimization for acquired entities. The IT Operations Director will set and drive KPIs, develop technology roadmaps, and build a high-performing global operations team aligned with Bel Fuse’s strategic growth objectives.
Are You Looking to:
- Own and direct global IT infrastructure strategy across all Bel Fuse sites worldwide, including network architecture, server environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy), cloud platforms (Azure IaaS), and endpoint management, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth plans
- Lead the evaluation, recommendation, budgeting, and implementation of SASE architecture as a potential replacement for existing Checkpoint VPN infrastructure, conducting full vendor assessments and presenting business cases to executive leadership
- Manage and optimize the enterprise network infrastructure including Ubiquiti UniFi switching and access points, structured cabling, and facility buildouts for new and acquired sites, including specification development and contractor oversight
- Lead full-lifecycle M&A IT integration efforts including pre-close due diligence (assessing target company security posture, network topology, ERP landscape, and service desk maturity), integration planning, Day 1 readiness, cutover execution, and post-merger optimization
- Oversee Microsoft 365 and Azure AD/Entra ID administration, identity and access management, and security configurations in alignment with enterprise security policies and CMMC Level 2 compliance requirements
Are You Ready to:
- Own and administer the Zendesk ITSM platform, driving service desk strategy, SLA management, ticket routing optimization, knowledge base development, and continuous improvement of IT service delivery across all business units
- Develop and manage technology roadmaps for infrastructure modernization, presenting recommendations to executive leadership with clear business justification, risk analysis, and ROI projections
- Set, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including infrastructure uptime/SLA adherence (99.9% target), M&A integration velocity (time from close to IT cutover), cost optimization metrics (infrastructure spend reduction and ROI), and team development goals (retention, certifications, cross-training completion)
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global IT operations team, establishing clear performance expectations, career development paths, and cross-training programs to ensure operational resilience and succession readiness
- Assume other projects and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 8 years of progressive experience in IT operations and infrastructure management within multi-site environments, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams of 5 or more
- Demonstrated experience with Checkpoint VPN and/or SASE platforms (Zscaler, Cato Networks, Palo Alto Prisma Access, or equivalent) including evaluation, deployment, and migration
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise endpoint management
- Experience with Azure IaaS (virtual machines, networking, storage, and cloud architecture) and Microsoft 365/Azure AD/Entra ID administration
What You’ll Get:
- Base salary range: $114,240 – $190,000. The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
