Tack Welder/Loader

2nd Shift

 3:30 pm to 12:00 am

 

FUNCTION: MIG Tack Welding and/or Loading on Submerged Arc Weld Line 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Knowledge and use of hand tools.

  • Ability to use overhead crane.
  • Work safely and follow all established OSHA safety regulations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must pass fillet weld break test for in house certification.
  • Basic blueprint knowledge a plus

 

 DESCRIPTION:

  • Verify conformation of workpieces to specifications, using square, rulers, and measuring tape.
  • Fit material together. 
  • Tack-weld fitted material together.
  • Proper use of Oxygen / Acetylene torch, performing beveling of plate with 9” grinder.
  • Perform similar job-related duties as assigned.

Salary : $22 - $24
