Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to residents or clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and other medical procedures using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, and senior care.
- Follow strict protocols for infection control, HIPAA compliance, and patient confidentiality while documenting medical records accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each person's needs.
- Support residents with catheter care.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in condition, communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and emergency responders when necessary.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory or dementia care is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and anatomy principles.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with a compassionate attitude towards seniors and individuals with disabilities.
