PRN Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients, particularly those in nursing homes or requiring memory care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive care and companionship.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
• Monitor and document changes in clients' health or behavior, reporting any concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring a safe environment for all clients.
• Maintain cleanliness in the living area, ensuring a hygienic space for clients.
• Support clients with mobility challenges, including transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs or other seating.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and family members to develop personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
• Assist clients with memory care activities to promote cognitive function and engagement.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences of the client.

Skills

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home care or home community care is preferred.
• Proficiency in first aid and CPR techniques is essential.
• Strong understanding of memory care practices and working with individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to maintain a clean environment while providing personal care services.
• Basic cooking skills to prepare meals that meet dietary needs.
