Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Caregivers will work in an assisted living facility.

Duties

• Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Assist with daily living activities.
• Support clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
• Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance emotional well-being.
• Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals while respecting resident rights and preferences.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or autism, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to address the needs of clients effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home community care or social work is preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices (training provided)
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus.
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies for effective communication a plus.
• Understanding of resident rights within assisted living or nursing home environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. (this is top priority)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Food handler's license will be required (provided)
