Assisted Living Cook

BeeHive Homes is seeking an experienced, friendly, dependable cook who is self-motivated and outgoing. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with a consistent 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule.

As a cook at BeeHive Homes, you’ll prepare delicious, home-style meals for approximately 15 residents plus guests, three times each day. You’ll work with an awareness of special diets, proper seasoning, cooking times, food temperatures, portion sizes, and dietary needs.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving attractive, appetizing meals, collaborating with the house manager during dining hours, following standardized recipes and resident dietary guidelines, properly storing food at safe temperatures, keeping hot foods hot and cold foods cold, maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen and food preparation area, practicing excellent personal hygiene, estimating food quantities to minimize waste, and appropriately utilizing leftovers.

Just as important, we’re looking for someone who understands that mealtime is about more than food. Our cook interacts with residents and guests every day, so kindness, patience, friendliness, and good communication are an important part of the role.
