Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Teacher to inspire and educate our early intervention learners in a behavior and speech clinic. You will work with both typically-developing and neurodivergent students, implementing lesson plans and curriculum according to the principles of behavior analysis. Our group sizes are limited to 8 children maximum at one time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and the principles of behavior analysis and early intervention
- Implement instructional modifications to accommodate diverse learning styles and special needs.
- Conduct and assist with assessments, standardized testing, and progress monitoring to evaluate student development.
- Collect data on learner progress and behaviors.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, parents, and caregivers to coordinate instructional strategies and support services.
- Manage behavior through effective behavior management techniques for clients with disabilities or behavioral challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behaviors according to funder standards for billing.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of the principles of education, classroom management, and both direct instruction and natural environment teaching.
- Proficiency in speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and music therapy as applicable.
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, visual impairments, or other special needs.
- Strong group management skills combined with effective communication skills for parent-teacher interactions.
- Expertise in early childhood education principles, literacy education, math instruction, and preschool or toddler care.
- Familiarity with behavioral health strategies, recreational therapy techniques, and early intervention practices.
