Our client is looking for a strong Federal Field Marketing Manager to strategically execute and manage field programs and campaigns specifically targeting the Federal Government for a 6-month contract period. You will be responsible for quarterbacking strategies to meet and exceed quarterly and annual pipeline goals. This role is an opportunity to make a key contribution, working across business units to develop unique customer and prospect experiences that drive business impact.
The Team This role reports to the Senior Director of Public Sector. You will partner closely with the Federal sales team (AEs & xDRs), partners, and the cross-functional marketing team to drive business impact across the federal landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Build strategic marketing plans that incorporate field/regional events, programs, and campaigns designed to contribute to annual pipeline goals and support sales in pipeline generation.
- Execute on marketing strategy by defining, project managing, and executing programs that support the Federal sales team to build & generate pipeline.
- Monitor and oversee leads as they go through the funnel across all activities, and report program results to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with strategic partners to execute joint marketing programs and co-branded tactics that support federal strategy
- Partner cross-functionally with teams across the client, including field and inside sales, marketing, operations, alliances, PR, legal, and procurement, to efficiently execute plans and achieve goals.
- Communicate clearly the federal marketing strategy, activities, goals, and outcomes to all stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 4-6 years of experience marketing to a Federal Government IT audience.
- Ability to come into the Washington DC office on an as needed basis
- Ability to be in person for onsite event execution as needed for programs in the DC area.
- Demonstrated experience in program, event creation, and campaign management, including measuring and reporting of success metrics/business impact.
- Ability to plan strategically while also executing tactically, with a proven track record of complex event programs with varied stakeholders and multiple product lines.
- Project management skills, including budgets, venue selection, vendor sourcing, event show flow, promotion, and on-site management.
- Experience planning and co-marketing with strategic reseller, distribution, and/or technology partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently in a rapid-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with sales and marketing automation systems (Salesforce and Marketo).
