Our client is seeking a highly experienced engineering professional with 15 years of progressive experience to lead advanced research, design, and development initiatives. This role will drive innovation, influence strategic technical direction, and support new product and business development. The ideal candidate is a recognized expert with ODA UM authority in key turbine engine and APU systems.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 15 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in a specific technical discipline (with Bachelor’s degree)
- Experience credit for advanced degrees:
- Master’s Degree: up to 2 years
- PhD: up to 4 years
- Requires approval of Engineering PRB, including business justification
Position Purpose:
- Responsible for the design, research, and development of advanced applications resulting in new products or business opportunities for the company
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans R&D programs and recommends technological application programs to meet corporate objectives
- Proactively promotes process initiatives that improve the balance of technical product, cost, and schedule
- Applies cutting-edge theories and technologies, demonstrating exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
- Champions and develops innovative principles and ideas
- Acts independently with wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments
- Serves as a recognized expert, providing consultative services to senior and executive leadership internally and across the industry
- Performs other duties as assigned
Other Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Engineering or related field preferred
- Technical skill level and competencies will be defined by the respective engineering discipline

- Airplane Turbine Engine (Authorized Area = A)
- Auxiliary Power Unit (Authorized Area = E)
- Indicating and control systems – electronic authorized functions
