Position Summary
Bedrock Energy is hiring a Trainee to support field operations while developing into a full equipment operator role. This is an entry level field position intended for individuals with strong work ethic, reliability, and learning potential. Trainees are placed on experienced crews for training and validation and are expected to build competency in safety, equipment familiarity, task execution, and field discipline before progressing to Ground Operator.
This is a hitch-based role. Crew work rotations at project sites across the US. Bedrock covers travel to and from site, lodging during your hitch, and provides a per diem for meals.

Key Responsibilities
- Support general field operations and labor tasks under supervision
- Learn Bedrock's safety expectations, SOPs, and crew operating standards
- Assist in other normal geothermal drilling operations tasks as required; rig-up, staging, cleanup, material handling, and general task support
- Observe experienced operators and progressively participate in field tasks
- Follow direction from the Ground Operator, Mud Operator, and Driller
- Identify and communicate abnormal conditions on the jobsite
- Build familiarity with Bedrock equipment, tools, and field workflows
- Develop toward promotion through field validation and competency sign off
- 0-1 years of experience
- Mechanical, construction, or field based work experience
- Prior exposure to equipment, labor intensive work, or outdoor operations preferred
- Forklift experience
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
- Follows direction and safety expectations
- Positive attitude in team environments
- Comfortable with physical work, travel, and outdoor conditions
