Position Summary
Bedrock Energy is hiring a Ground Operator to run pump operations and support field execution across the drilling spread. This role is responsible for pump startup and shutdown, rig support, equipment support, valve and flow path execution, and assisting the Mud Operator with staging materials, inventory, and fluid system tasks. This is a hands on field role that builds foundational understanding of the full Bedrock drilling system.
This is a hitch-based role. Crew work rotations at project sites across the US. Bedrock covers travel to and from site, lodging during your hitch, and provides a per diem for meals.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate pumps and support fluid system execution
- Assist the Mud Operator with valve control, inventory, material staging, and additive handling
- Support rig up, demob, bore swaps, pressure testing, and equipment preparation
- Perform rig walk arounds and report abnormalities in pumps, valves, hoses, and related equipment
- Help prepare for the next operation, including tooling, loop prep, and general field readiness
- Support maintenance activities, filter changes, lubrication, and equipment checks
- Build familiarity with the full rig spread, including tank systems, pumps, and support equipment
- Follow direction from the Driller and Mud Operator while maintaining strong field awareness
- Assist in other normal geothermal drilling operations tasks as required
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- O&G surface equipment experience such as frac, cementing, or workover
- Water well pump operator or similar equipment role
- Experience in structured field operations with equipment and support systems
- Forklift experience
- Experience operating and servicing pumps
- Understands startup and shutdown procedures
- Able to support the Mud Operator and anticipate next step needs
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable with physical field work
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Bedrock systems
