What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant position at Becker Morgan?
Essential Duties/Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Analyze contract content for project set-up and billing terms.
- Generate invoices for billing purposes.
- Monitor project budgets while working closely with project managers to help optimize project profitability.
- Review and track consultant invoices and complete ledger reconciliations.
- Audit, analyze and/or prepare project management reports on billing, unbilled and AR for assigned projects.
- AP duties as needed and cross training to cover other accounting functions when necessary.
- Ensure the companies compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Display independent judgment and initiative
- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information
- Consistently demonstrate professional and approachable demeanor and discretion
- Proficient in Accounting software and Microsoft Office
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of accounting experience, preferred in A/E professional services firm
- Experience with Deltek Vision First Essentials accounting system is preferred
