Project Accountant

Basic Function: Responsible for all aspects of project financial management.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities included but not limited to:        
•    Analyze contract content for project set-up and billing terms.
•    Generate invoices for billing purposes.
•    Monitor project budgets while working closely with project managers to help optimize project profitability.
•    Review and track consultant invoices and complete ledger reconciliations.
•    Audit, analyze and/or prepare project management reports on billing, unbilled and AR for assigned projects.
•    AP duties as needed and cross training to cover other accounting functions when necessary.
•    Ensure the companies compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Skills:
•    Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
•    Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
•    Display independent judgment and initiative
•    Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information
•    Consistently demonstrate professional and approachable demeanor and discretion
•    Proficient in Accounting software and Microsoft Office

Education/Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
•    7 years of accounting experience, preferred in A/E professional services firm
•    Experience with Deltek Vision First Essentials accounting system is preferred
