The Steel Shop Drafter will be responsible for preparing accurate steel shop and erection drawings. This includes detailing high, complex jobs utilizing AutoCAD and MBS (Metal Building Software).
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare erection drawings with accurate part identification, quantities, complete sections, and details for proper installation of materials
- Create legible shop details for fabrication
- Read and decipher architectural drawings
- Maintain a high productivity rate with low errors
- Ensure all projects are completed on or before the scheduled due date
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED/Trade School Certification
- AutoCAD and MBS - minimum of 8 years' experience
- Proficient in geometry and trigonometry
- Highly organized and dependable
- Strong work ethic
- Work overtime as necessary
- Legal work authorization in the United States
