Job Description
As a Public Information Officer, you will be responsible for executing effective programs to inform and educate the public and news media about information concerning the City. You will leverage communication channels to build awareness of city programs, notifications, events, and opportunities for city stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communication, Graphic Design, Advertising, or related field
- Two years' experience in public relations/public information, with experience in government operations preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
