Production Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Hand to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an industrial hemp processing facility, where you will be responsible for performing various tasks such as unloading trucks, driving a forklift and other equipment, packaging and palletizing product, and general facility cleaning. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and meeting production targets.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain straw processing systems.
• Complete and follow Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Permit to Work (PTW) as needed.
• Read, interpret, Standard Operating Procedures.
• Read, interpret, and complete work orders as directed.
• Read and interpret P&ID documents when necessary.
• Clean facilities and machinery to ensure work areas are free of trip and slip hazards.
• Troubleshoot and fix machinery as needed.
• Work individually or in team settings.
• Be part of an on-call team and perform duties as required on a revolving schedule.
• Loading and unloading materials.
• Meet and report shift up-time and production targets.
• Cut and pull twine from bales.
• Sort bales and flakes for quality.
• Sweep chaff and process chaff as needed.
• Identify, sort, and take bales out of production which do not meet quality standards.
• Perform job duties safely and efficiently.
• Assist other operators and supervisors as needed.
