This is a 64-bed unit that ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical unit at Jackson Purchase Medical Center, you will provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Assess the patient's condition and nursing care needs
- Set goals and prescribe appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients
- Develop individual nursing care plans
- Implement care plans and make revisions as needed
- Evaluate patient care outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and other hospital employees
- Administer medications, treatments and therapies
- Communicate with patients and oversee provision of care
